Day 1: Marrakech – Tizi N’Tichka Pass – Agdez – Zagora  – Erg Lihoudi Dunes

Your driver will pick you up at 7:00 AM from your accommodation in Marrakech, marking the start of your desert adventure. The journey begins with a scenic drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, following the winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, you’ll be captivated by traditional Berber villages and breathtaking panoramic views of the rugged landscape.

Continuing south, you’ll pass through the lush Draa Valley, an oasis filled with endless date palms and historic kasbahs. The road takes you deeper into the heart of southern Morocco until you arrive in M’Hamid, the gateway to the desert.

Here, your adventure truly begins. Mount a camel and set off on a peaceful trek into the dunes of Erg Lihoudi. At the luxury desert camp, you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and traditional tea. Relax and unwind in your beautifully furnished tent before enjoying a delicious dinner under the star-filled sky. The evening comes alive with the sounds of traditional music around a cozy campfire, making for an unforgettable experience.

Day 2: Erg Lihoudi – Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

On the second day of your exhilarating desert journey, you’ll wake to the serene beauty of Erg Lihoudi. As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the golden dunes, you’ll experience a mesmerizing sunrise, a moment that perfectly captures the magic of the Sahara. After savoring a hearty breakfast in the peaceful desert surroundings, you’ll bid farewell to Erg Lihoudi and begin your journey back.

The route leads you through Zagora, where you’ll have another chance to immerse yourself in the town’s vibrant culture. Take this opportunity to explore or pick up some unique souvenirs as a memento of your adventure. Continuing your journey, you’ll once again pass through the lush and scenic Draa Valley, reflecting on the unforgettable memories created during your desert experience.

A stop in Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara,” offers a chance to visit the impressive Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site steeped in history. Your desert tour concludes as you arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon, leaving you with vivid and lasting memories of your time in the Sahara.
