In the afternoon, you’ll embark on a camel ride to explore the Chigaga sand dunes further, culminating in a visit to the massive sand dune known as Elaabidlia, a truly remarkable sight found in southern Morocco. After this enthralling experience, you’ll return to Zagora in the late afternoon.

Our adventure begins from Zagora, typically at around 8.00 am, although we can accommodate your appropriate departure time. We’ll head southward for approximately about an hour and a quarter along a well-traveled route before veering onto a track road. As we continue our journey, you’ll be treated to a diverse landscape featuring distinctive sand dunes in this area and the unique plants of the desert. We’ll make occasional stops to capture the breathtaking scenery through the pictures. After approximately three and a quarter hours of travel, we’ll arrive at our fixed camp amidst the real Erg Chigaga sand dunes. Here, you’ll be warmly welcomed and served Desert tea with lunch. You’ll also have the option to try experience by sandboarding, or we can arrange a trek on foot with camel ride for you, allowing you to explore the depths of the sand dunes and witness the mesmerizing sand sea.

As the day draws to a close, and you’ve savored all the activities this excursion offers, we’ll depart from Chigaga late in the afternoon, journeying back to Zagora via the enchanting Draa Valley and the historic town of Tamegroute. If you missed any morning stops or wish to explore the area at your own pace today, we can arrange additional visits. You may choose to visit the old Jewish Kasbah quarter of Amezerou or explore Tamegroute near Zagora, depending on your time and interests.
